Welcome to Monks in the City, a small Benedictine community founded from Worth Abbey, living and ministering in the heart of Brighton. We are glad you are here and hope you find a prayerful home with us.
About
In January 2021 three monks of **[Worth Abbey](https://worthabbey.net/)** moved to Brighton to establish a small monastery in the city. A few years later the **[Bishop of Arundel & Brighton](https://www.abdiocese.org.uk/)** invited our community to live at **St John the Baptist’s** in Kemptown, where we have collectively taken on the role of assistant priest in this dynamic East Brighton parish.
