History
Abbatia B. Mariae de Quarreria (Quarr Abbey) sub regula S. Benedicti fundata est anno 1132; Cisterciensi vero ordini iam anno 1147 aggregata, eversa est anno 1536. Novae aedes, in refugii domum ab exulantibus monachis Solesmensibus exstructae, in prioratum simplicem ab Abbatia de Solesmes dependentem sunt constitutae die 15 januarii 1925, in abbatiam vero die 27 decembris 1937 erectae.
