History
Antiquum monasterium pro monachis Valliscaulensibus a rege Alexandro II anno 1230 fundatum, post duo saecula abbatiae Dunfermlinensi adfiliatum, Reformationis tempore nunquam dissolutum, elapso autem tempore dirutum, tandem anno 1947 Abbatiae de Prinknash datum est ; canonice erectum anno 1948, anno 1966 ad monasterium autonomum erectum est, in abbatiam vero anno 1974.
