Welcome to the Monastery of Christ the Word, nestled in Macheke, Zimbabwe. Founded in 1996 as a daughter house of Ampleforth Abbey, our small community of Benedictine monks lives by the Rule of St Benedict, offering prayer, retreats and warm hospitality to all.
